coats & ella fragrance giveaway #3 winner

Welcome to another Fashion Friday. It seldom happens that I see almost all my favourite pieces from the runway featured in one editorial, even one that I really like. I think it has never happened, until I came across the April 2012 issue of Glamour UK. The editorial is called 'Coat? Check!' and was captured on camera by Chris Craymer and styled beautifully by Sophie Cooper. Model Anna Speckhart is wearing gorgeous collarless 3/4 sleeve (or shorter) coats from the spring/summer 2012 collections of various designers. There are of course shoes and bags to be seen, and some gorgeous Louis Vuitton suitcases.

The Prada coat in the top photo above is my dream coat of the moment; I cannot get enough of it. I still remember seeing it on the runway for the first time and being instantly smitten. It has been appearing in various magazines and editorials this spring and it makes me happy every time. It is available in different colours and variations and I love it in red as well.

The second coat is by Giambattista Valli, who showed some beautiful coats at the Paris Fashion Week last autumn. The third one is Dior and I find it so elegant. I also remember a soft lambskin trench coat that I really liked from the same collection designed by Bill Gaytten. The fourth one I'm sharing is by Christopher Kane and here are a few close-ups of that one from the runway.

The other coats featured in the editorial can be seen below (I didn't want to overdo it with all these photos in large sizes).

Collarless 3/4 sleeve coats are one of my weaknesses. I cannot really resist anything with 3/4 sleeves. I need a coat like that for my summer wardrobe, but it will have to cost less.

Do you see a coat that you like?

Now it is time to announce the third ELLA fragrance giveaway winner.

A number has been drawn from a pink bowl and this time the winner receives a bottle of the ELLA Night scent. The lucky winner who matched this number is

Anait, a fellow Francophile who writes the Cap Ou Pas Cap blog

Anait is getting married next summer in a chateau outside Paris. Let's hope the Night scent will keep her inspired while doing all the planning involved. Congratulations Anait! Please email me your postal address so I can forward it to the ELLA team in Iceland.

There is now one bottle of ELLA Night left and the fourth and final winner will be announced next Friday. The giveaway is open to all followers of LatteLisa and the last chance to enter is Thursday 24 May.

Before I finish. Did you see Diane Kruger on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival? She was wearing Giambattista Valli haute couture and looked sensational.

Have a fabulous Friday!

  5. Congratulations to the lucky winner and all the best for your upcoming wedding Anait! I'm a fan of 3/4 sleeve coats: I find them very elegant and this editorial shows such a beautiful selection! Absolutely agree on Diane Kruger, that Gianbattista Valli gown was beyond magnificent!

  6. Yes that Prada coat would be perfect in my wardrobe; if not, then I'll have the Dior coat with the sweet bow at front! Congratulations to Anait for being the 3rd Ella giveaway winner... And indeed, Diane Kruger was Sensational! I think that photo of her on the red carpet will be doing the rounds for weeks to come (me included!)... Have a great weekend:) x

  7. I’ve been looking for a summer coat for some time now and any one of these beauties would do nicely (although the 4th one has really captured my heart). *sigh* As much as I would love to utter the words: ‘look at my new Prada coat’, I think it will more likely be: ‘look at my H&M coat’.

  8. @Meghan: I hear you, where would we be without H&M or Zara ;-)

  10. What an awesome post to wake up to - first, all those STUNNING coats. I'm such a sucker for 3/4 sleeves, too, and the simple lines of these coats are just too hard to resist. I think my favorite may be the Christopher Kane and that first blush coat from the smaller images.

Diane Kruger always nails it, her style is impeccable....even when it's something I wouldn't wear or don't find attractive, somehow it looks great on her. That light blue color is just heavenly.

And, icing on the cake, I won the giveaway! I'm so excited, thank you Lisa and the ELLA team :)

And thank you for that sweet introduction....between this perfume and that wonderful notebook you sent me, I will have no problem being inspired!

One more thing - can I just say how great your readers are? I scrolled through your comments and everyone left congratulations and best wishes in their comments. So nice!

Ok, I'm off to email you now.

  13. So gorgeous! I hadn't seen this editorial yet. It's so funny because I was just thinking of a 3/4 sleeve coat. Saw one on someone and she looked so fantastic.

And yes I did see her on the red carpet. She's such a stunner and rarely ever disappoints.

Lastly congrats to the winner! I'm finally home after a very long week and I'm about to go pick mine up :)

Have a great weekend, Lisa! xoxo

  15. You are making me long to go shopping, Lisa! These are gorgeous—I could not select a favorite... but something tells me these would remain in the closet forever, reworked, and treasured, always... and also, congratulations to Anait—her upcoming plans sound so exciting!
